Overview
Singu Chuli Peak, also known as the Fluted Peak, stands tall at 6501 meters and is the third-highest trekking peak of Nepal. Singu Chuli lies in the Annapurna Sanctuary and adjoins Tharpu Chuli.
Singu Chuli Peak Climbing offers you a great chance to explore the stunning Himalayas of Nepal. You will get a vivid sight of Annapurna and Lamjung Ranges such as Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), Mt. Annapurna I (8091 meters), II (7937 meters), III (7555 meters), IV (7525 meters), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Himlung Himal (7126 meters), Lamjung Himal (6983 meters), Mt. Manaslu (8156 meters), Nilgiri Himal (7061 meters), and many other surrounding peaks.
Apart from the majestic sights of mountain peaks, varying landforms, vegetation, ecosystem, along with a cultural tour of Gurung and Sherpa cultures, are also significant parts of this climb. You might also spot various endangered wildlife in the region such as Red Panda, Spotted Deer, Wild Yaks, Musk Deer, and many more.
However, Singu Chuli Peak is technically challenging and difficult to climb. The trail has a rocky and uneven topography. You have to pass an avalanche-prone area, walk through the icy, snow-covered ridges. You need to be careful all the time when you embark on the expedition to Singu Chuli Peak. Weather changes continuously in the mountain region.
Further, there is a risk of altitude sickness, along with other technical difficulties. That is why we suggest Singu Chuli Peak Climbing for people with previous ice climbing, alpine, or mountaineering experience. Climbers need to be physically strong and mentally prepared to take on this adventure.
Singu Chuli expedition officially begins from Pokhara. You will drive up to Nayapul and hike up to a beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk. You will follow the famous trail of the Annapurna Region that leads up to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp.
You will pass many small villages, steep uphill and downhill slopes, and narrow rugged trails between Ghandruk and Annapurna Base Camp. At Annapurna Base Camp, you will surround yourself with bold Annapurna mountains from all sides. Trek from Annapurna Base Camp up to Singu Chuli Base Camp, where you will rest and acclimatize your body to changing environment and thinning air pressure. Continue on the icy and uneven trail up to Camp I passed the High Camp.
Finally, you will summit Singu Chuli Peak on the 13th day of your visit to Nepal. After a successful climb, you will descend back to Singu Chuli Base Camp. From here, the trail goes up to Machhapuchhre Base Camp and then to Bamboo. Finally, you will reach Jhinu Danda and enjoy a hot spring bath to relieve soreness from the climb. Few hours of trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul, and you will take a jeep ride back to Pokhara. Return to the capital city of Kathmandu the following day and board a flight back to your home.
The best season for Singu Chuli Peak Climbing is during Spring (March, April, May) and Autumn (September, October, November). During these two seasons, the weather remains clear and increases the chances of getting the mountain ranges’ best view. The risk of an avalanche is also minimal during these seasons.

Singu Chuli Peak is the third-highest trekking peak in Nepal. It lies among other famous mountains in the Annapurna Sanctuary. Singu Chuli Peak is an ideal destination for those who want to experience the taste of the Himalayas in Nepal.
First summited in 1957 by David Cox and Wilf Noyce from the North-East face, you can take on the climb up to Singu Chuli from several routes. However, you need to have good physical strength and stamina to take on the challenges of Singu Chuli. We recommend this destination for those enthusiasts with prior climbing or mountaineering experience.
Is Singu Chuli Peak Climb Right For You?
- The weather conditions in the mountain region can be unpredictable and affect the specified length of the itinerary. The package may lengthen for customer safety in case of harsh weather conditions during the summit. So make sure you plan the time of the year carefully. The scenery and conditions may vary depending on the season you choose to go on this expedition.
- For about a week, you will have to walk continuously for 5 to 7 hours per day, excluding the climb. So you should prepare yourself physically and mentally for the challenge. Do some exercises to increase your stamina and strength before you come to Nepal for your climb. Also, it will be a plus if you engage yourself in climbing exercises prior to this expedition.
- Singu Chuli Peak stands at 6501 meters (21,328 feet). This technical yet challenging climb will test your stamina, endurance, and strength. The adventure may be incredibly tricky for those with low fitness levels or no previous summiting experience. So make sure that your body can meet the fitness level required for the climb.
- This journey includes around 16 overnight stays over 3000 meters. The thinning air pressure may increase the risk of developing AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). You may encounter shortness of breath and mild headaches during your stay or climb. Your guide will make sure to lead you according to your natural pace. Walk slowly to let your body adjust to the thinning air.
- Our guides and Sherpas are well trained and experienced in handling emergencies. They also carry first aid, including some emergency medicines, to help you in the time of difficulty. In extreme cases where you need emergency evacuation from any spot, we will rescue you via helicopter.
- We recommend that you keep yourself active and fit to decrease the risk of fatality. Make sure that you are physically and physiologically capable of taking the climb before booking the trip. If you are unsure about your conditions, you should seek medical advice.

Important Trip Notes
- This trip starts early in Kathmandu, and you have two days to rest in the capital. As a result, you will get enough time for the briefing about the expedition.
- You need to either filter, boil, or purify the water with iodine tablets if you fill your bottles with water from the taps. Diarrhea is quite common and mainly caused due to impure water. You must be cautious all the time.
- The royalty fee to summit Singu Chuli Peak is as follows:
- Spring ( March,April, May) = USD 400
- Autumn (September, October, November) = USD 200
- Winter (December, January, February) = USD 100
- Summer (June, July, August) = USD 100
