Overview
Yoga is the perfect mixture and a superb union of the delicate soul and the supreme soul. Yoga trekking integrates the natural world with one’s inner self. The ideal outcome is a fulfilling experience that awakens senses for deeper awareness and greater relaxation beneath the towering Himalayas. Yoga has many varied, subtle, yet incredibly superior advantages. Strength and flexibility are enhanced. Yoga stretches your muscles and relieves low back pain, stress, and anxiety. It also makes sleeping better. Additionally, the yoga trekking program is appropriate for people of all ages and offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to improve one’s physical and mental health. Furthermore, including charity along with yoga satisfies your soul.
For the first time, the Everest Base Camp trekking experience will be offered with a unique twist, combining Eastern and Western philosophies of Yoga, meditation and pranayama with the physical endurance of two weeks of trekking and exploration in the highest mountain range in the world. Join other like-minded individuals with a spirit of adventure for a once-in-a-lifetime experience as you hike through beautiful landscapes, visit historical and spiritual monuments, and get to know the rich culture of the people who call these lands home.
You will have daily asana practice along with meditation and group discussions to quiet the mind and to balance out the strenuous nature of hiking. Throughout the trip, you will also have free time to explore various campsites and villages, engage in colorful dialogue with your fellow adventurers and also the native locals, discover your inner sanctuary as you reconnect to nature and to those around you, and be inspired to live authentically, with compassion while pursuing your own passions. Most importantly, this yoga trek will be for a cause.
A portion of the funds from this trek will support Sunsar Maya. Sunsar Maya’s mission is to help vulnerable women and children in Nepal build pathways out of poverty through holistic, community-based programs that promote education, mental health, and physical wellbeing. Over 400 women and children living in extreme poverty arrive to Sunsar Maya centers each day to attend the after-school and women’s literacy programs. Every student receive a hands-on, Stem-focused education, a daily meal, medical and dental care, and weekly mental health support. All the things they need—but may not get at home—for healthy development and to thrive. Students have gone on to attend college, become teachers and professionals, open their own small businesses, and more.
