Overview

The Everest View Trek is a short trekking alternative in the Everest region. It offers stunning views of the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest (8,848 m) along with views of other Himalayan peaks such as Mt. Lhotse (8,414m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861m), Mt. Pumori (7,165m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856 m) among others. This trek is ideal for people who have limited time but still would like to see all that Nepal has to offer. The trek provides an opportunity to explore the lifestyle, culture, and tradition of legendary Sherpas, and to view the ancient Buddhist monasteries all the while surrounded by beautiful and rare flora and fauna of the Sagarmatha National Park.A short 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is an exciting adventure in itself,from Lukla the journey begins with a walk by many Sherpa villages dotted along the gorge of the Dudh Koshi River. The views of beautiful agricultural landscapes, suspension bridges are all laid out before reaching Phakding (2,652m). The trail further leads to the gateway of Everest Namche Bazaar (3,440 m). This bustling village is the epicenter of Sherpa life and economy.You travel on through beautiful forests of rhododendron and pine before reaching Tengboche the last point of our journey (3,860 m). The village contains the.Tengboche Monastery one of the biggest monasteries and leading Buddhist centers in the Everest region. This monastery rests on a high ridge across the gorge from Khunde village, with the amazing backdrop of Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856m). The panoramic views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), along with the south face of Mt. Lhotse (8,414 m) from the monastery are stunning.After spending the night we retrace our steps to Lulka for our flight back to Kathmandu.

You will find one of our team representatives waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). They will escort you to the hotel in a private tourist bus. In the evening, you will meet with your guide and have a traditional welcome dinner.

Today, you will take a short flight to Lukla from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). The flight will present you with stunning views of hills and snow-capped mountains. After reaching Lukla, you will begin your trek to Phakding. Please remember to put all the items you want access to through the day in your daypack as your luggage will be taken ahead with the porter. You will begin the descent to reach Chheplung Village. From here, you will get to see beautiful Mt. Khumbila (5,761 m) and continue descending until you reach Phakding.

You will begin your trek traversing beautiful pine forest following the trail to the north to reach Monjo. It is the entrance Sagarmatha National Park and our guide will take care of the permits to enter the park. Further, you will cross a suspension bridge decorated with colorful prayer flags and pass Jorsalle village. Walking along the Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River, you will ascend and finally reach Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the chief town of the Khumbu region and also one of the largest residence areas of the legendary Sherpas.

Today is your rest day at Namche Bazaar to get acclimatized with the increasing elevation. You will walk towards Syangboche Airport and then visit Khunde Hillary Hospital and Khumjung Monastery in Khunde and Khumjung villages. Then we will return back and descend down towards Everest View Hotel. The stunning views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Ama Dablam (6856m) and other mountains can be seen here. Then you will return back to Namche and visit the famous Sherpa Culture Museum to explore the Sherpa culture and traditions showcased in the museum.

You will descend to Dudh Koshi River and cross through beautiful small villages to Phunke Tenga. Passing through the pine and fir forest, you will ascend and reach Tengboche. Tengboche is famous for being the largest monastery in the Khumbu Region. You will get to see breath-taking views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6856 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,414 m) and other mountains.

After enjoying the outstanding views of snow-capped peaks and lovely landscapes, you will trek back to Namche Bazaar. The trail will descend through small villages and pine and fir forests. Regardless of going back on the same trail, your perspective is different, which is always refreshing. You will stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

After having a warm, hearty breakfast, you will begin your trek back to Lukla. The trail will descend with few smaller ascents passing through pine and rhododendron forests. You will pass by a number of small villages and an airy suspension bridge. Trekking with the last views of gorgeous mountains including Mt. Khumbila (5,761 m), you will reach Lukla.

You will fly back to Kathmandu today. The flight will present you breath-taking views of snow-capped mountains and hills. After reaching Lukla, you will be escorted to your hotel. After some rest in the hotel, you can roam the streets of Thamel and buy some handicrafts to remember your beautiful trek.

One of the representatives will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport a 3 hours before the scheduled flight.

What’s The Difficulty Level For Everest View Trek?

Everest View Treks is disigned for those who is not very fit to trek but still enjoy the walk and want to see the Everest and Khumbu, this is easist trek in the region and less risk of gettign altitude sickness.In terms of topography, no ropes and no ice picks are needed. You don’t have to climb any vertical climbing. However, the ground is not paved. So, it is going to be a rough, rocky, and gravel-strewn path.

Who Will Arrange My Permits For Everest View Trek?

You must acquire permits such as Sagarmatha National Park Fee & Local Taxes. You don’t have to worry about them. We will organize all necessary permtis. You need to send us two passport-sized photos and scanned passport copies for the permits.

What Travel Insurance Will I Need For The Everest View Trek ?

Well, it depends on your current travel insurance provider. Some insurance may not include mountainous trekking or mountain climbing. You should check with them to confirm that trekking if your policy covers the Everest View Trek.
