Kathmandu itself is a buzzing vibrant place but like most Asian cities it is getting busy nowadays. However strangely old and new live in relative  harmony with ancient temples sitting sde by side with internet cafes nowadays yet often tucked away in an atmosphere of their own Once outside the city you are greeted by a lush green fertile valley dotted with small villages that opens up before you, each with their own particular story to tell. Over the four days there is enough time to soak up the local way of life passed down over many centuries with your guide filling in any questions you may have.
