Overview
A 34 days-long Gangapurna Expedition presents you the chance to explore the wondrous landscapes of Nepal in a challenging-yet-adventurous way. This expedition promises the same amount of excitement and thrills which you can enjoy with other 7000m plus expeditions like Gurja Himal Expedition or Baruntse Expedition.
The journey that starts with your bus ride from the country’s capital takes you through the stunning landscapes and uphill and downhill trails until you reach the summit of Mount Gangapurna. Standing tall at 7455 meters (24457 feet), Mount Gangapurna is located between Annapurna III (7555m) and Tilicho Peak (7134m).
Throughout this long journey, you will come across the alpine landscape, harsh vegetation, and beautiful Juniper and Pine filled forests. Besides, you will get the chance to learn the past and present traditions, norms, and values of Manangi people with an extra acclimatization day in the beautiful Manang village.
The most important and thrilling part of the entire expedition— the summit of Mount Gangapurna gets underway with the proper planning and guidance from our Sherpa crew.
They will set up four camps above the Gangapurna Base Camp: Advanced Base Camp, Camp 1, Camp 2, and Camp 3, where you will be supplied with necessary food and essentials. Additionally, these camps help you with better acclimatization so that you can avoid altitude sickness moving forward.
After you successfully reach the top of Mount Gangapurna, you can enjoy the mouthwatering views of Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Nilgiri (7061m), Tilicho Peak (7134m), Manaslu (8156m), Pisang Peak (6091m), Chulu West Peak (6419m), Chulu East Peak (6584m), and other peaks.
Basically, Autumn and Spring are considered the ideal seasons to take on this thrilling adventure. You can get the most out of the expedition in March, April, September, and October, as the weather remains on your side. Plus, the natural scenery remains polished in this time frame.
