Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will receive a warm welcome from the Nepal Social Treks representative, who will assist you with hotel check-in. Take some time to rest and prepare for the trek ahead.
In the evening, a briefing with your guide will provide essential information about the trek, followed by a delightful welcome dinner where you can get to know your fellow group members.

Early in the morning, you’ll take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, where the airport is known for its extreme conditions. The 40-minute flight offers breathtaking views of high hills and snow-capped mountains.
Upon arriving in Lukla, you’ll meet the local staff and porters before starting the trek to Cheplung village, enjoying distant views of Mt. Khumbila. The gradual walk along the Dudh Koshi River will lead you to the village of Phakding.

Please keep in mind that the unpredictable weather and the small airport’s location can cause flight delays or cancellations in extreme cases.
On day 3 of the trek, you’ll walk through pine forests, Sherpa villages, and yak pastures. You will also cross suspension bridges to reach the Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate and then hike uphill to Jorsalle with views of Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Everest, and Nuptse.
The final destination for the day is Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital, where you can enjoy the close-up views of Kongde-Ri and Thamserku.

Namche Bazaar serves as the central commercial hub in the Khumbu region, offering markets, gear shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes. You can find everything you need here, from trekking gear to chocolate bars.
On the acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar, you will hike to the beautiful village of Khumjung to visit the ancient monastery and a local school built by Sir Edmund Hillary.
On the way back, you’ll be visiting the Everest View Hotel, from where you get to enjoy the panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtega, Taboche, and Kwangde. The acclimatization day aims to allow your body to adjust to the higher altitude and reduce the risk of altitude sickness.

After the acclimatization day, you will continue the trek on a pleasant trail through the dense forest.
The trail then becomes more challenging as it climbs uphill to Tengboche, a small village with a Buddhist monastery and panoramic views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and others.

Today you will head north from Tengboche, cross a suspension bridge, and walk through a narrow path surrounded by trees.
You will pass several villages, mani walls, and chortens before reaching Dingboche, the highest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu region. Stone walls enclose Dingboche and offer stunning views of Ama Dablam.

On the 7th day of your trek you’ll have an important acclimatization day at Dingboche. Also, you’ll hike to Nangkartshang Peak, a 400-meter climb towards the village’s northern ridge.
The summit of the peak offers magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Makalu, Lhotse, Kantega, and Cho Oyu. The hike takes around 2 hours to complete.

Acclimatization day is crucial to prevent altitude sickness and ease sore muscles. If you are not physically fit, please inform your trekking guide and take a rest.
On the 9th day you’ll begin the day with a gradual climb toward the valley of Pheriche and to Lobuche, a rugged trek with steep climbs over the moraine of Khumbu Glacier.
During the trek, you’ll pass Thukla Pass, decorated with prayer flags and stone shrines, and reach Lobuche, a tiny settlement with views of Nuptse and Taboche. In the evening, you’ll walk up to the narrow gap of mountain walls and moraine to glance at the Khumbu Glacier.

Remarkable day on the Everest Base Camp Trek! After breakfast, you’ll hike from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp, a challenging trek with rocky terrain and glacial moraine.
You will pass several small streams with views of Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbu Icefall, and Khumbutse. You’ll spend time at Everest Base Camp before returning to Gorak Shep.

Today you’ll hike from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche, a strenuous trek with steep and rocky terrain.
Besides, you’ll witness one of the most beautiful sunrises over the Himalayas from Kala Patthar and have views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and others. Hikers will also visit the Himalayan Rescue Association Clinic (HRA) in Pheriche.

You’ll be starting your hike early at dawn for the sunrise. Therefore, we recommend you to wear warm clothes and carry a headlamp or torch.
On the 12th day, you’ll leave the Himalayas behind and backtrack your route to Tengboche, a pleasant trek with a few rugged uphills.
Along the way, you’ll walk through the densely forested area and might see rare wildlife. You’ll arrive at Tengboche after 5 hours and have views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse.

Early in the morning, you’ll depart from Tengboche and make your way towards Namche Bazaar, a moderate trek with a steep descent and a sharp ascent.
Along the way, you’ll pass the villages of Phunki Tenga and Kyangjuma. Besides, you’ll also cross a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and reach Namche Bazaar.

You start the day with a steep descent from Namche Bazaar on reasonably rocky terrain.
On the way, you’ll cross two suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and see Buddhist monasteries, chortens, and mani walls. In the evening, you’ll celebrate the Everest Base Camp Trek’s success in Lukla before returning to Kathmandu.

On the final day of the Everest Base Camp Trek, you’ll say goodbye to the mountains and fly back to Kathmandu.
You’ll be greeted by a representative of Nepal Social Treks at the domestic terminal and escorted to the hotel. You can rest at the hotel or walk around Thamel’s lively street and buy souvenirs. You’ll enjoy a farewell dinner with the trekking team in the evening.

On your final day in Nepal, a representative of Nepal Social Treks will escort you to the Tribhuvan International Airport.
They will drop you off at the airport according to your flight schedule and help you find your check-in terminal. This is the end of your trek, and you will be flying back home soon.
