Equipment Required for Trekking in Nepal 2019

First of all, the equipments necessity depends upon the route you are going to follow. You need to get information about whether there are hotels on the way you are traveling or not so that you could decide whether or not you need to take tent and backpacking sleeping bag.

As per the essentials and your bag weight you can decide it depending on whether you are thinking a porter along or not. If you are not taking a porter then you need to make your bag as light as possible so as to make your journey easy.
One of the most essential things you need to carry is water for which you need water bottle. You should not drink water from the sources you find on the way however clean they may seem as the water may be contaminated. In case you don’t have any option, you can use water purifier. So, you also need to carry water purifier tablets on your trip.

You also need to take care about the footwear you select. Make sure that you find comfortable trekking boots so that you can walk without any difficulty. You also need to pack sandal to wear when you settle down at night. You need to carry good quality trekking socks as well.

Trekking is a tiring journey in which you lose much calories. So, you need to carry high calorie content food that would acquire less space in your bag. Dry fruits are best. You should not be carrying food stuffs that rot soon.

And what about the route map? Hope you have it as well.

And are you confused about the costume you should wear? As you are going on an expedition, it is better you dress in layers so as to keep you warm and you can remove your clothes if you feel hot. You should also carry foldable rain poncho so as to save you from rain. Make sure that you have wind protector jacket. Wear full sleeve clothes and cover your body parts so that you don’t get rashes by the plants on the way.

You also need to carry a first aid kit with medicines like paracetamol (analgesic and anti-pyretic medicine), metronidazole (anti-diarrhoeal medicine), and antibiotics. You should also have band-aids so that you can use when you have cuts.

Your list should also include bio-degradable toilet paper.

Have you forgotten to carry sunscreen lotion? It’s a must carry and you also need to carry insect-repellent cream.

You can also take gloves so as to save your hands from cold.

Sunglasses would be of great help to walk when its sunny. Also, hat should be taken along to get saved from the sun’s heat.

Head torch should also be taken along for vision at night.
