One of the most wonderful things in the world is getting closer to nature. For those people, who seek to discover more about the wonders of nature, we have designed a perfect package of travelling among the mysterious forests of Chitwan National Park.

For a country mostly known for its beautiful mountains, the gigantic flat lands of the Terai that stretches throughout the southern part of Nepal provides a wholly different experience. A visit to Nepal remains incomplete without seeing the beauty of the Terai and Chitwan at only 150m above sea level is the best place to go. The Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, provides a great wildlife experience with its rich flora and fauna. The Tiger, deer, rhino and crocodile are some of the wildlife found within the park zone.

This area of the country gets steamy from March to June, with peak temperatures reaching 43°C / 110ºF in the shade. Short grass makes Feb-May the best game-viewing season. Also the autumn months are gorgeous, with Himalayan views, and in winter (December-January), Chitwan stays pleasantly warmed compared to Kathmandu. The monsoon season (July-August) is intense, with pounding rain, swollen rivers, and luxuriant vegetation. While the rain isn’t constant, the humidity is all pervasive.

Early dawn alert, tea or coffee; start on an elephant ride or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife in their early repose. This is the best time of the day to see the animals as we silently brush through dewy tall elephant grass (18-20 ft. tall), a habitat for rhinos, tigers and other wild animals. Spend 2-3 hrs. in the jungle, then return to the camp for breakfast. In the late morning, visit the elephant stables to get a firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists. Here one can witness the rare scene of elephants at bath. After a hearty lunch at camp, the afternoon is free for the much-deserved mid-afternoon siesta or a visit to the library for general informations on the National park. In the late afternoon, there is a choice to participate in the programs offered at the camp, which includes jungle drives in Land Rovers visiting different lakes inside the National Park, Canoe rides/ floats or an escorted Nature walk and bird watching excursion. Spend a leisurely evening sitting at the round house sipping drinks and swapping tales with the camp staff and other clients. After an excellent dinner, retire for the night with promises of more adventure in the new day. Overnight at the Resort in Chitwan.
