Yoga instructor - Nadine Bubner

Native to Berlin-Germany, Nadine has participated as the yoga instructor with us since our successful 2015 Charity Everest Base Camp trek. She has been living in Asia for more than a decade and is an avid stand up paddler, runner and triathlon athlete. With the rigorous exercise from running, cycling and swimming she found yoga a haven for both body and mind.Nadine has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching Yoga since 2010. She is registered as a Yoga Teacher by the International Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 (2010) & RYT 500 (2017), Prenatal certified with Dr. Jean Byrne - theyogaspace Perth (2011) and is an IRONMAN Certified Coach (2016) and Holistic Health Coach (2015). Since 2017 she trains SUP Instructors for the ASI - Academy of Surfing Instructors.​

ABOUT THE TREK:

Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes you to the base of the giant Annapurna massif from Kathmandu and brings you back to the capital in just 13 days. You sleep in Tea House and Lodges throughout the trek.The trail takes you to picturesque Gurung villages where you can enjoy their warm hospitality, relax and explore their culture. People living in these areas are mostly Buddhists, so you can expect to see lots of small and big monasteries adorned with prayer flags. The trail walks through forests of rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal, which fills the hills with vivid colors during the spring season. At the base camp itself, you find yourself wrapped in the towering mountains in a surreal atmosphere. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a getaway in the lap of nature without having to make strenuous efforts.

Itinerary

Pick up from Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to the hotel. You will be briefed on the trip of next day and the remaining day can be spent exploring and shopping.

The day will be spent sightseeing some of the prominent places of Kathmandu Valley visiting the monastery and temples. We visit  Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath which are the UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites and are also the most popular pilgrimage sites of Hindu and Buddhist devotees. We also visit Kathmandu Durbar Square where we can observe the art, architecture, and artifacts of an era gone by. Overnight at the hotel.

Early Mornign we visit Swayambhunath, for early mediation and puja celebration. After Breakfast at hotel we take a ½ hour an early morning flight to Pokhara. Rest of the day can be spent enjoying lake side in Pokhara, a beautiful city and in the evening we will do Sunset Yoga by the Lake. Overnight at Hotel.

Early morning, we practice yoga and meditation at the hotel rooftop with the sunrise over the Himalayas. Then leave from Pokhara in the morning after breakfast. After reaching Nayapul we will hike up to Ulleri   which is filled with little guest houses and beautiful scenery. Evening Sunset Yoga, overnight at guest house.

Early morning, we do yoga and meditation at village with sunrise over the Himalayas. Today we will make our way to Ghorepani. The way is filled with steps and a steady incline. One can see multiple small waterfalls and streams all along the village of Ghorepani. Evening Yoga on Sunset, overnight at guest house.

Early morning before sunrise we will hike up to Poon Hill (45mins) to view the spectacular sunrise. The Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli range change many shades with the slowly rising sun rays. This is one of the best places to view sunrises from. After taking our Yoga and mediations sessions with some beautiful mountain ranges we will trek to Tadapani where we will stay the night. Evening Sunset Yoga, overnight at guest house.

After morning Yoga and meditation leaving Tadapani behind, we start our trek to Chhomrong. Making few steep ascents and descents, the trail walks through rhododendron forests and reaches various settlements, en route. Along the way, we relish the beautiful panorama of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (6993), and Gangapurna (7455m). We descend from Chere Danda and walk gently to reach the beautiful village of Chhomrong. Overnight in Chhomrong. Evening Sunset Yoga, overnight at guest house.

After morning Yoga and meditation, we descend from Chhomrong, walking down thousands of stone steps made along the trail until we reach Chhomrong Khola. Crossing the bridge over Chhomrong Khola, we climb uphill to Sinuwa. We trek through lush forests as we descend casually to the village of Bamboo from Kuldihar. Evening Sunset Yoga, overnight at guest house.

After morning Yoga and meditation, passing through damp and cold bamboo forests, and after a steep ascent, we reach the Himalaya Hotel. With a steep climb uphill, you start noticing the landscape change as the vegetation is drier and sparser. The barren rocks, sometimes filled with snow, make it an alluring landscape. Walking past rock-face cliffs and waterfalls, we reach Deurali. Evening Sunset Yoga, overnight at guest house.

After morning Yoga and meditation, from Deurali, we trek to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). It takes 4 hours of walking on steep trails to reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp from where we get a mind-blowing view of Machhapuchhre (6993m) along with the Annapurna massif, Hiunchuli (6441m), and Gangapurna (7455m). As we continue our trek to Annapurna Base Camp, the vegetation disappears leaving us with bare, rocky hills and gigantic mountains. From the base camp, we relish the 360-degree view of the mountains of Annapurna region. Evening Sunset Yoga, overnight at guest house.

After morning Yoga and meditation, we wake up early to witness the rays of rising sun touching the snowcapped peaks gently and turning them into gold. After breakfast, we bid our goodbye to Annapurna Base Camp and head towards Bamboo. We walk for the whole day, retracing our trail, walking past various settlements and changing vegetation. Passing through the damp bamboo forest one more time, we enter Bamboo where we stay for the night. Evening Yoga on Sunset, overnight at guest house.

After morning Yoga and meditation, making few uphill and downhill climbs, we trek to reach Jhinu Danda. En route, we reach Chhomrong as we walk up the stone steps along the trail. From there on, it is a downhill walk to reach Jhinu Danda, which is popular for its hot spring. Upon reaching, we enjoy the dip in the hot water and relax our strained muscles. Overnight in Jhinu Danda. Evening Yoga on Sunset, overnight at guest house.

From Jhinu Danda, we trek down to Nayapul (1070m) enjoying the picturesque landscape throughout the way. We walk down on stone steps amid rhododendron forests and meet the roadway in Nayapul. Then, we drive from Nayapul to Pokhara relishing the countryside view. In the evening, you can stroll around the lakeside area and enjoy the vibrant city as you please. Overnight in Pokhara.

After breakfast, we drive on Prithvi Highway from Pokhara to Kathmandu following the bold Trishuli River. We stop at local restaurants by the highway as we drive amid hills and countryside settlements. In Kathmandu, you can enjoy your time strolling around the nearby market. Overnight at a hotel.

Time to say our goodbye to wonderful yoga team. Our team representative will drop you at the airport three hours before your scheduled flight.
