Behind the success of any company, there are hard working people who have come a long way and contributed their hard work and Nepal Social Trek Team struggle. Nepal Social Treks and Expedition is the result of the contribution of Mr Basu Dev Pandey and his team, Basu startied as a porter during his college breaks to pay for his further education. He progressed to becoming a senior guide and finally founded the company in 2006, He has worked hard for the success of the company which continues to break new ground. He has gathered a professional and enthusiastic team around him who continue to help the company to greater heights of success.
BASU DEV PANDEY
Managing Director
Basu studied at Tribhuvan University as a student of Business Management. He is a source of inspiration to people in the Travel and Tourism field with a belief that no work is too small or big. Basu started his journey as a porter to pay for his education.He moved his way up the trekking ladder to become a senior guide for various well known companies. However he had bigger dreams in life, he continued his higher studies obtaining his degree and finally made his dream come true by establishing Nepal Social Treks and Expedition in 2006. His enthusiasm and love of what he does shines through, this has resulted in a great team of energetic people he has gathered around him to help the company to greater heights of success.When the season is not too busy he enjoys leading international travel groups on adventures across Nepal.
SABINA PRAJAPATI
Operations Executive
Sabina is a graduate from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Tourism.She is one of the charms of our office, with a great smile and very efficient in her approach to her work. Sabina is resposible for all the necessary details that go to make up a successful holiday. She manages flight bookings, hotel reservations; permits conservation fees etc.It is due to her that our clients can expect to receive a prompt and timely service.She is currently studying at the Indira Gandhi National Open University to obtain her master’s degree in Tourism.
SAMJHANA POKHREL
Accounts Department
Samjhana is a graduate of Business Administrative Management (BBA) she is now studying for her Masters in Business Administrative (MBA) with a specialism in finance and marketing.Samjhana originates from The Western Development Region of Nepal.She is very friendly with a warm smile and now firmly based in Kathmandu.Samjhana manages the day to day accounts along with the business development management. She appreciates working for a company with clear goals.

Ganesh works with our team as office assistant, helping all staff members, He takes care of all our guests at our main office and it is his first smile you will meet at the airport for your hotel transfer. He is young and very dynamitic with an attention to detail and very much wants to make his career in tourism

Achyut has been working with Nepal Social Treks since the beginning. The most established trekking guide in our company, he has a wide range of knowledge of all the trekking areas of Nepal. He is equally at home in the high mountains tackling high altitude passes as he is guiding the gentler rural village treks. Over the years he has guided hundreds of our clients from all over the our world.
BHIM KOIRALA
City Guide
Bhim Koirala works with us as an English speaking city guide.His knowledge is extensive when it comes to the wealth of history and rich culture to be found within the Kathmandu Valley.He is a very friendly guy who really enjoys showing people around the ancient sites and explaining there significance.

Trekking Guide
Damodar Mainali is now an established trekking guide with us. He has built up a lot of knowledge over the years and has made many local contacts on a lot of the trekking routes which adds to the overall experience for our guests.

Phurba Sherpa runs our Expeditions Department ,a vastly experienced mountaineer having now summitted Everest 6 times. Phurba is a strong motivator for all mountain climbers with exceptional leadership skills.He was born in the shadow of Everest in The Khumbu Region and has been in mountain tourism since 1998,

City Guide
Namaraj Lamichhane is one of our very talented guides having good communication skills of English, Japanese and Chinese. He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Eductaion from Manmohan College affiliated to Tribhuvan University. He also has a Master’s degree in Eductaion from Tribhuvan University.

Rajendra Manandhar works with us as Spanish speaking City and Trekking guide.He has been with us for over six years.He is both a registered city cultural guide and trekking guide and is happy in either role.

KB Barakoti originates from the Dhading District.From an early age he made his mind up that he wanted to be a trekking guide.He gained his liscence with us over ten years ago and has been with us ever since. He has travelled widely throughout Nepal guiding groups of many nationalities.Guests often comment on his well behaved nature and his attention to detail.

Ramesh Khatiwada is our senior tour guide who has lived in the Kathmandu Valley all his life. Along with his great command in English, he is also fluent in Spanish.His knowledge of the Nepals heritage and cultural throughout Nepal is extensive,a day with him is always very rewarding.

Social Responsibility
With the belief that we must contribute some part of our earning to uplift the standard of the places we travel and enjoy, we donate 10% of our total income to social foundations which work for the underprivileged members of our rural areas. We also contribute some amount of earning to Social Welfare Foundations.
Nepal Social Treks provides lot of opportunity for service in society through education and health camp contribution. We do have our own long term projects for school regular helping even now after earthquake rebuilding at Malekhu Dhading and Chaturale at Nuwakot.
