Manaslu, in west-central Nepal, was opened to trekkers only in 1991. With its fantastic mountain scenery spanning altitudes from a few hundred meters to over 5,000 m and the terrific variety of eco-systems, the Manaslu route is one of the few true adventure experiences. We start our trek from the ancient trading post of Trisuli, which is reached from Kathmandu over a winding and goes all around Manaslu through the larkya pass at 5,500 m. the trail links up with the eastern sector of the Annapurna circuit on the drive back to Kathmandu.
