Langtang Trekking RegionLangtang Trekking is the third most popular trekking area in Nepal after the Everest region trekking and Annapurna region trekking. Langtang Trekking region lies directly north of Kathmandu Valley and thus the nearest trekking area. Langtang Trekking area includes Langtang Himal,Langtang National Park (famous for many exotic Himalayan plant and animal species including the extremely rare Red Panda)& the Gosaikunda Lake (the holiest Lake for Hindu people due to its attachment with Lord Shiva) along with some other huge Lakes in the same area such as Saraswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. Langtang Trekking region is probably one of the very fewest regions in the world that can offer you 5 different kinds of vegetation zones within the radius of few kilometers. This area can offer you from Subtropical to alpine timberline kind of vegetation within a day’s hike and you will have a chance to see animals like wild dogs, HimalayanRed Panda, Musk deer, Black bear and Leopards out in the wild. The main features of Langtang Trek are the Langtang glacier and arguably one of the world’s most beautiful Valleys: Langtang valley.
Tamang and Sherpa people are inhabitants of this area. In Langtang Trekking you will have an opportunity to interact with those people, living and experiencing their living, their food and cuisine and their culture. Throughout our trekking period we will travel through beautiful forest of Himalayan fauna including the national flower of Nepal, Rhododendron and beautiful views of Himalayas never out of your sight.
Helambu is known for the spectacular views of mountains and natural, lies in the district of Sindhupalchok just 72km away from Kathmandu and is extended from north of Tanarang to the tree limit of Gosainkunda Lake and the lower slopes of Jugal Himal includes several Tamang villages scattered on both sides of Melamchi River.Helambu is one way to approach the Gosainkunda Lake in Langtang trekking region passing through the Tamang villages and alpine grass and trees finally reaching to barren terrain of Gosainkunda in the midst of different peaks. Though the way to Gosainkunda through Helambu is exciting and fun, best approach to Gosainkuncha through Trishuli valley is still considered the best.

Getting langtang Trekking

Access to Helambu is particulary easy and quick.Sundarijal,Budhanilkantha which is one the most convenient starting point, is an hour's drive from kathmandu. Other possible roads are at Budhanilkantha, kakani and four hour drive away at Melamchi Pul. For langtang and Ganesh Himal the choice is limited -drive to Dhunche in Rasuwa district. The road than continues to Syabrubeshi.

Gosaikunda Lake Trek
