Jiri to Everest Base Camp TrekJiri to Everest Base Camp Trek

Jiri Everest trek is a very famous trekking program for its opportunity to interact and befriend with the ethnic race of the Himalayan region, the Sherpa people. In Jiri Everest trek you will get to learn how people in the mountain region of Nepal live, their cultural and beliefs, and you can just try and live the way they do if you want. The main objective of Jiri Everest trek is to climb the Kala Pattar peak to get a good view of the Mighty Everest and finally to visit the Everest Base Camp.

Jiri Everest trekking route is one of the oldest routes to the Everest. In fact Jiri Everest trekking route was the first route used by the climbers and expedition team in their initial Everest climbing attempt from the south side. Jiri Everest trek starts from Jiri, passing through many beautiful Sherpa villages to the Sherpa Capital of Solukhumbu. A day should be dedicated to acclimatize your body to the high altitude and hence we’ll stay a day at Namche Bazar, exploring the local area and then continuing the trek through the trial leading to Tengboche the next day. Encircled by the tallest mountain in the world this place can be easily called the most beautiful place in the world. From Tengboche we will roll on to the Dingboche, Lobuche and finally to Gorak Shep, where we will prepare for the Kala Pattar trek. From Gorak Shrp we will head on to the Everest Base camp and return. This will be a 5 hours trek. Next day we will trek to Gokyo through the way of Zongla and Thangla, which will take about 2 days trekking time. From Gokyo we’ll trek to the peak of Kala Pattar, from where the Everest is completely visible. This is the point where you will get to know the true magnitude of Everest along with the view of many other mountains in Everest Region. After winning the Kala Patter peak, we will return to Lukla through the way of Luza and Namche Bazar. We’ll then take a flight back to Kathmandu from Luka ending our magnificent Jiri Everest trek.
