The Everest view trek starts with a spectacular mountain flight to Lukla and it takes about 45 minutes from Kathmandu . Lukla is a busy airstrip in the Everest region and is the starting point of the trek. Initially the trek descends through Sherpa villages along the spectacular gorge of Dudh Koshi River to the village of Phakding , where most tourists take overnight acclimatization rest. The trek continues to NAMCHE Bazaar (3440m) through pine and rhododendron forests with an abundance of wildlife. NAMCHE Bazaar is considered as Sherpa nation capital and it is the gateway to Everest. After walking through simple villages, well painted houses of NAMCHE with modern facilities give the different flavor to your short trek.

Typically all hikers and climbers take a full day rest in NAMCHE to acclimatize and to prevent the Acute Mountain Sickness. Next and last stage of this short trek is Tengboche and it is a major highlight of this trek. With the elevation of 3860 meter above the sea level, the culturally significant Buddhist monastery is located at the amazing backdrop of Mount Amadablam . Tengboche Monastery is the biggest monastery in Everest area where climbers and trekkers stop by to seek the traditional blessing from the monastery Lama for of the success to their journey. Every year a large number of Buddhist pilgrims come here to celebrate the Mani Rimdu festival. It is the most significant annual festivals of Sherpa people. The culturally significant Tengboche also offers superb view of Mt. Everest and several other prominent mountains.

The panoramic view of Everest from this location is absolutely breathtaking including the famous south face of mount Lhotse and the trek leading to such Nirvana truly deserves as the name of Everest view trek. It is naturally perfect spot to photograph Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse and other not less spectacular peaks. Such splendid views make it difficult to control finger tips from pressing the camera's shutter button. After enjoying the heritage site and the mountain views you will descend to Syangboche, another place for the superb view of Everest and surrounding peaks, which is perhaps the best place for the most spectacular view of Everest and other mountains as well as glaciers. The dramatic mountain environment will stay in your memory for the rest of your life. From here you will return back to Lukla via Khumjung, the biggest Sherpa village in Everest area. A visit to this village is the best way to meet and interact with Sherpa people in their natural environment and to sample their culture and tradition. Grazing Yaks, Buddhist monasteries, Hillary School and highlander culture of Sherpa people are the attraction of this area. Descending to the Lukla airport covers the remaining highlights of Everest region gives you another opportunity to walk through the gorgeous area of colorful Khumbu villages. A short flight back to Kathmandu gives you last glimpses of Himalayan views will conclude your Everest View Trek of a weeklong adventure into the one of world's most iconic views.

Everest View Lodge Trek Itinerary in Details.

 Day 1: Arrival pick up transfer to Hotel and Orientation.
Pick-up at Tribhuvan International Airport , meeting with your guide and transfer to Hotel. First impressions of Kathmandu – walk to medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square and explore the beautiful complex of palaces, temples, shrines and courtyards built by the ancient Nepali kings between the 12th and 18th century. We also discover Thamel -  the vibrant tourist area with hotels, restaurants and outdoorshops.Briefing hotel where we will be discussing the technicalities of the trek..In the evening you enjoy a welcome dinner with cultural Dance.

Day 2 :Trek preparation and Sightseeing Kathmandu
After Breakfast at hotel start Sightseeing with private van to Pasupatinah, the most important Hindu temples of Nepal with the sacred burning ghats located at the holy Baghmati river and Boudhanath the biggest Buddhist stupa in South Asia and Swoyambhunath also known as Monkey Temple.Afternoon checking and arranging trekking gears.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla (2850m) – Trek to Phading (2640m)
In the early morning we drive to Tribhuvan Airport to connect our fly to Lukla - flight time app. 40 minutes from Kathmandu.  After breakfast in Lukla (2 850 m) we start trekking through beautiful settlements to join soon the main trail in Churi Kharka.  We follow the east bank of the Dudh Koshi- the River of Milk- where you witness the typical Nepal terrace culture, slate roofed houses and views on Kusum Kangaru (5 579 m). We reach Phakding(2 640 m) after 3 - 4 h gentle walking.

Day 4: Trek Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Today we make a challenging hike to Namche Bazaar (3 440 m), situated at 6-7 hours walking from Phakding. We climb up along the west bank of the Dudh Kosi to the tiny village of Toktok .  We get our first glimpse of Thamserku peak (6 608 m) and reach Benkar (2 710 m).  The cliffs above the village are decorated with huge paintings of Buddhist deities. We cross the colorful suspension bridge  and enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo (2 840 m).  After Jorsale we follow the riverbank  over gravel, climb through a pine forest and cross the Dudh Kosi by a big suspension bridge. Then we face a continuous zigzag ascent of 2 hours through dense pine forests.  In the early evening we reach the vibrant center of Namche Bazar, on of the most attractive settlements of Solu-Khumbu district.

Day 5: Acclimatizing day at Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Rest day in Namche. Optional walk to the Sherwi Khangba  Sherpa Culture Museum or dayhike to the Hotel Everest View in Khumjung village (3 700 m) and Khundi Hospital in Khundi Village, the first hospital build in Khumbu Region by Sir Edmund Hillary and Himalayan Trust in 1966.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3860m)
Trek to Tengboche (3 860 m), 5-6 hour long hike from Namche Bazaar. The first part of trail is a winding smooth path which offers fantastic views on Mount Everest (8 848 m), Thamserku (6 618 m), Ama Dablam (6 814 m). After the trail goes down to the riverbank and then we make a strenuous 2 hour ascend to Tengboche. We walk through rhododendron forests where musk deer and Himalayan ‘tahr’ or mountain goat live. Atthe rest place you can enjoy the views towards Kantega mountain  (6 783 m). Tengboche, is famed for the Buddhist Tengboche Monastery (where you can attend the daily puja), Cafe Tengboche and the view point.

Day 07:Trek to Namche (3440m)
From Tengboche the trail drops sharply down to the Dudh Kosi and the village of Phunki, where we cross the river, and up toward Namche Bazaar, winding high above the river with views north towards Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.

Day 08: Trek to Lukla (2600m)
We start this 6 hours during trek with a streneous descent from Namche Bazaar to the Dud Kosi (hard work for the knees), after the path climbs up to Monjo and then runs easily to Benkar, Phakding and Lukla. Overnight stay at Lukla.

Day 09: Fly to Kathmandu
After breakfast we fly in about 40 minutes from Lukla to Kathmandu . Arrive at Tribhuvan Airport and transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay at Hotel.

Meals during Everest Base Camp Trek

All Meals on full board basis will be provided during on trek. Three meals ( B,L & D) a day will be provided from the teahouse/lodge, Each day dinner and breakfast are used to take in the same lodge you spend the night. Lunch will be taken on the way to destination. Reception, farewell dinner and breakfast will be provided during your stay in Kathmandu.
