Everest TrekkingThe Everest region is an area in Mahalangur Himalayan range that includes mighty Mt. Everest reaching the height of 8,842m and its head reaching to touch the infinite sky. Long with the Everest this region also contains other magnificent mountains like Cho Oyu (8,153m), Lhotse (8,516m.) Nuptse (7,879m.), Makalu (8,463m.) and Ama Dablam(6,856m.). Everest region is the densest area with more than 200 mountains alleviating to the altitude of 6000m. Home to the friendly and loyal Sherpa people, land of the mysterious creatures like Yeti, Tibetan Buddhism and hundreds of stunningly beautiful monasteries of Himalayan region, trek to the Everest region will be a lifelong memory for you.

Everest Region Trekking will take you to not only to the beautiful mountains of this region but also to the very foot of the mighty Mt. Everest, i.e. Everest Base Camp. On the way we will be going through the beautiful land of Solukhumbu and many other places in Everest region like Khumbu area, exploring the mountain ecosystem, beautiful places and Sherpa culture. The trekking starts from Jiri, Lukla or Phaplu but the best way to reach this remote heaven is considered the flight to Lukla and few days trek from there. Everest region trekking is one of the most exciting and thrilling trekking, but demanding and physically challenging nonetheless. Everest region trekking is a great opportunity for people to learn about Sherpa People, Culture and their ways of life along with Sagarmatha National park infamous for explicit flora and fauna in Himalayan region. While animals and birds like mountain goat, musk deer, barking deer, Danfe, Ravens, Crows, Choughs and Snow Pigeons are sighted in Everest region, alpine pine are the most of the faunas found in this region. Thought the existence of Yeti in this region is still a mystery. Each of the routes in the Everest region is equally good and it’s up to you to choose your path. 

Getting Everest Region

Reaching Everest Region is not a big problem if you really want to explore the Himalayan Region. You can choose to reach there either by air or on foot.
On foot: You’ll have to take the road to Jiri first and then start trekking. Drive to Jiri is a 10 hours drive from Kathmandu.
By air: This is considered the most convenient way to reach Everest Region. Served by most of the domestic airlines in Nepal, you can take a 40 minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and then take a few days thrilling trekking to the Everest Base Camp.
