Helambu Circuit Trek is popular among the trekkers for its scenic beauty and favorable climate. Neither too cold nor too hot throughout the year, Helambu is mere 72 kilometers away from Kathmandu. The Helambu Region extends from north of Taramarang to the tree limit of Gosainkunda and the lower slopes of Jugal Himal. In the Helambu Circuit Trek we will get some good opportunities to meet and interact with the highland Sherpa and Tamang people. Study, learn and experience their culture and enjoy the Sherpa and Tamang cuisine.
Aptly called “The Valley of Glaciers”, Langtang valley lies in Helambu Circuit Trek. Mountain Views are spectacular and continuous in the Helambu Circuit Trek and we will cross through pine and rhododendron forest, slow moving rivers and swift mountain streams, jagged rock piles and snow-capped peaks, grassy meadows full of daisies and other small flower parchments and wild primulas. The upper part of the valley is full of high passes engulfed by mist and tiny frozen lakes with icebergs. The highest point in Helambu Circuit Trek is Tharepati (3490m). We will get their ascending the towns and villages of Sundarijal, Chisopani (2,300m) andKhutumsang (2,470m) finally reaching Tharepati. On our way down we will pass TarkeGyang (2620m) andSermathang (2620m) finally to Kathmadu.
Helambu Circuit Trek is comparatively an easier trek, the elevations are lower, we’ll trek in the warmer climate, the terrain is not too dangerous and easy to get around and the trek is not crowded and full of noise like some part of Everest and Annapurna Trekking. Though easier, the 9 day Helambu Circuit Trek offers a wide range of cultural and topographical varieties and a wonderful story to share.
