Trekking is the best way to explore Nepal’s stunning natural beauty and cultural diversity, and has been known to leave an indelible mark in the minds of those who set out on this kind of adventure. There are two different types of trekking: ‘teahouse’ treks where you stay in comfortable accommodation in small picturesque villages and eat delicious food off their menus; and ‘camping’ treks on more remote trails where everything is brought along with the group, and food cooked along the way. Treks can be as long or as short, as easy or difficult as you desire; we can cater for any age group and for any level of experience from novice through to well seasoned adventurers.
Trekking is one of the only ways to intimately experience the landscape and become immersed in the culture and lifestyle of the local people. The Himalayan hills contain more than half of the total population of Nepal, and the hillsides are marked with a network of tracks and trails leading between the delightful local villages. A short trek can reveal a multitude of landscapes, from the lowland hillsides covered with golden rice paddy terraces to beautiful lush rhododendron forests with abundant flora and fauna, to the stunning and magical alpine landscapes with panoramic views of some of the highest and most famous mountains in the world.
