
Trekking around Manaslu & Annapurna circuit offers a unique opportunity to experience relatively "untouched" region of Nepal. Opened for trekking only since 1991, it provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and China and is now a controlled trekking route which allows organized trekking groups special permits to venture round its spectacular circuit. Located in west-central Nepal, the 177-km trek around Manaslu provides strong walkers the best that Nepal has to offer: fantastic mountain scenery, spanning altitudes from 375m to 5,300m. A diverse rsange of ecosystems and ethnic cultures. And a trail that puts one physically closer to Tibet than any other trek in Nepal.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu:
Arrive in Kathmandu welcome in to the KTM airport and transfer to hotel brifing about the treks rest time preparing for gears.O/n at Hotel,
Day 02: Sight seeing:
Around Kathmandu valley: The holy place of Pashupatinath temple, Shoyambhunath temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Kathmandu Darbar Square), arrange the necessary permit for Trekking and Climbing. Overnight at Hotel.
Drive to Arughat: Day 03: Morning drive (Approx. 6 hrs) to Arughat (670m). Overnight at camp.
Day 04: Labu Besi - Khola Besi (950m)
The trail goes along the river, with some steep legs. Overnight at camp.
Day 05: Khola Besi - Jagat (1410m)
We head upstream along the steep side of the Buri Gandaki towards Tatopani -- literally " hot springs ". The trail then goes up and down along the length of the river, with some parts overhanging huge rapids Overnight at camp.
Day06: Trek to Seirishon Goan (1420m) Overnight at camp.
Day 07: Trek to Deng (1860m) Overnight camp.
Day08: Deng - Ghap (2040m): The path goes through dense jungle up the narrow western gorge of the Buri Gandaki heading towards Manaslu. At times the path is high above the river which we will cross and re-cross on an incredible variety of bridges. In Ghap, we will admire some fine sculptures, mostly representing meditating Buddhas.Overnight at camp.
Day 09: Ghap - Lho (3100m)
We continue westwards through bamboo and rhododendron forests. Horse and yak caravans are numerous here, as the commerce with the upper Buri Gandaki valley and Tibet is prosperous. Overnight at camp.
Day10: Lho - Sama Gompa (3500m)
We head straight towards Peak 29, ahead of us, then follow the lateral moraine of the Pungen Glacier towards Sama. Breathtaking views of the Manaslu, Northern Manaslu (7145m) and the Naike. Overnight at camp.
Day11: Sama Gompa - Samdo (3860m)
We cross a high plateau and skirt around the ridge of the lateral moraine. We then climb a terraced hillside to reach one of the most remote permanent settlements in Nepal. Samdo is only a day’s walk from Tibet by the Lajyang La pass (5098m). Overnight at camp.
Day12: Samdo -Larkya Phedi (4500m)
The path becomes steeper. Crossing the tundra, it winds its way to the foot of the immense Larkya glacier which pours out of the Manaslu. Ovenight at camp.
Day13: Larkya Phedi - Larkya La (5212m) - Bimtang (3850m)
We first head towards Cho Chanda, then slowly climb the steep slope towards the pass. From the top the panorama is magnificent: Himlung Himal (7126m), Cheo Himal (6820m), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6981m) and the Annapurna II (7937m). Steep descent through moraines towards Bimtang. Overnight at camp.
Day14: Bimtang - Tilije (2400m)
The route gets easier. We start with a gentle climb through paddy fields towards the small Karcha La pass and descend through fir tree and rhododendron forests to Tillije. Overnight at camp.
Day15: Tilije-Chame (2713m)
We descend to Dharapani and join the Annapurna Circuit. From here we follow the Marsyangdi river upstream through large areas of blue pines, spruces and oak. Overnight at teahouse lodge.
Day16: Chame - Pisang (3185m)
We leave the magnificent pine forests and the Marsyangdi at full flow below us to enjoy views of the Lamjung and Annapurnas II and IV. Pisang, with its fine tapering walled houses, offers amazing sights of the Annapurna massif to the south, Mount Tilicho (7134m) to the west, Chulu Est (6584m) and the summit of Mount Pisang (6091m) to the north. Overnight at camp / teahouse lodge.
Day17: Pisang - Manang (3530m)
Manang is a typical Tibetan village with numerous stupas, monasteries and oratories. Overnight at camp / teahouse lodge.
Day18: Trek to Letdar (4200m)
Passing through Gunsang (3900m), Yak Kharka (4018m) then to Letdar. Fantastic views of Annapurna ranges and Chulu West (6419m) as well as pasture area and yak kingdom. Overnight stay at camp / teahouse lodge.
Day19: Trek to Thorang Phedi (4450m),
An essential acclimatization rest day before the Throng-La. Overnight stays at camp / teahouse lodge.
Day20: Thorong Phedi - Thorong La (5415m) - Muktinath (3802m)
Climb up to the Thorong La for a stunning panorama over prestigious summits rising above 6000m. Descent towards Muktinath. Overnight at camp / teahouse lodge.
Day21: Muktinath - Kagbeni (2800m)
After breakfast visit walking down to Kagbeni visit the The entry get of Upper Mustang after lunch walk to jomsom. Overnight at camp / teahouse lodge.
Day22: Jomosom -Pokhara-Kathmandu
After breakfast in the morning fly to Kathmandu via Pokhara. O/n at Hotel.
