Situated in the Annapurna Sanctuary in west Nepal tent peak is also known as Tharpu Chuli. The Annapurna Sanctuary is no new name to the regular tourist in Nepal as to offers magnificent views of the mountain panoramas  that lie at the South Face Base camp of Annapurna. With the upraised south face of Annapurna, we climb the northwest ridge of tent peak. The excitement and pleasure of this ascent as we trek along the rich and fertile Modi Khola with its tumbling cascades and high water falls and through the colorful Gurungs village will remain fresh in the memory for years.
