Hot Air Balooning
On a clear day, it is a superb way to view the Himalayas (from over 6,000 m up) and the views of the valleys, mustard field and rice field terraces is equally breathtaking.
The huge balloon comes to life in the morning light, "a sleeping giant decorated with the all-seeing eyes of the Buddha", as it ripples, stretches, expands and readies itself for its load of the passengers. The departure is gentle and one hardly feels the ascent. The advantage of this ancient and romantic form of flight is that there is no whirring or whining of engines, nor any airplane wings to obscure the most magnificent of views. Like the agency puts it," Even if you do not climb Mt. Everest , from the perfect safety and comfort of a wicker basket, you will feel that you have reached the top of the world in effortless security.
Ultra Light Aircraft
For those who wish they could fly like birds, this flight is a must. Leave your woes behind on earth, soar to heights, bathe in the clouds, reach out for the mountains and kiss the azure sky. It might be lonely at the top, but the spectacular view from high up there certainly makes up for everything. You forget yourself for some moments.
This Ultralight aircraft was introduced in Nepal in 1996, and the operator has been offering sight seeing tours in Pokhara valley. The choice of Pokhara for ultra- light aircraft is appropriate chiefly because of the proximity of the mountains, and the scenic lakes
