Nowhere else in the world will you be such a subject of curiosity as a bicyclist in Bhutan . School children will keep greeting you and wishing you a nice day wherever you appear with your bicycle. When cycling through Bhutan , you traverse numerous ups and downs and at least five curves per kilometer, all the time almost alone as there is hardly any traffic on Bhutanese roads. Cyclists can maintain an average cycling speed close to the speed of cars and buses making bicycling in Bhutan a true adventure of the Himalayas.
Mountain biking is relatively new in Bhutan but is gaining popularity rapidly. Today, new routes are being developed and bikers can actually be the first to test such routes. All categories of trails bypassing pristine forests, quaint hamlets and farmers or even wildlife amid alpine rhododendrons are on offer.
